A reader named Dana asks, “What is GodsBigBlog?”<\/p>\n

Good question.<\/p>\n

GodsBigBlog is — God’s Big Blog.<\/p>\n

I’m a religion writer<\/a> in the tradition of Huston Smith\u00a0and the universalists<\/a>. I’ve interviewed and observed hundreds of people\u00a0with dozens of different, often conflicting, ideas, spiritual paths\u00a0and experiences of Holy, and\u00a0I\u00a0have come\u00a0to the conclusion that the Sacred, whatever It is,\u00a0must be\u00a0very large.\u00a0If God is to encompass all those earnest people and all their – to me convincing – experiences of Holy, God must be very big, indeed.<\/p>\n

Also, it seems to me that\u00a0Whatever\u00a0Is Going On Out\/In There is way beyond human understanding, which takes me back to — God Is Big.<\/p>\n

Someone else is using the URL God Is Big, so I’ve had to come\u00a0up with an alternative for my other website on religion and spirituality. I named it GodsBigBlog,\u00a0which\u00a0is\u00a0URL-speak\u00a0for God Is Big – or God’s Big.<\/p>\n

There’s a\u00a0pun there,\u00a0and I like it. God’s Big Blog can also mean this is<\/em> God’s Big Blog.<\/p>\n

God’s blog,\u00a0not mine. I just live there and go where it takes me.<\/p>\n

So there you have it.<\/p>\n

Update: The GodsBigBlog category is now — My Rocky Spiritual Journey.<\/em><\/p>\n
