I jumped on a plane to Detroit the other day, rented a car and took off for a twelve-day, one-woman road trip up and down and across the state. First stop, a lovely two days with a college friend and her husband in Grosse Pointe, a book talk with a dozen or so of her lively friends, and then a trip to the Edsel Ford estate.<\/p>\n

Next stop on my one-woman road trip: Pentwater, way across the state on the shores of Lake Michigan near the spot where a pivotal moment in my book “Wrestling with God” took place when I was a kid. (Hint: A big meet-up with God)<\/p>\n

Today — 1 p.m. Saturday — I’ll be reading from my book at the Pentwater library. My cousin Mary Helen Blohm, a real estate person here in Pentwater, made the arrangements.<\/p>\n
