Here’s what I’m thankful for this Thanksgiving season.<\/p>\n

One.<\/strong>\u00a0Decades and decades of friends and family. I’ve had so many people to love\u00a0over the years.\u00a0Some of those people will be at\u00a0our house on Thanksgiving.<\/p>\n

Two.<\/strong> Coming soon in February — yet another person to love. Our first grandchild . . .\u00a0It’s a girl!<\/p>\n

Three.<\/strong> There are two cooks in the family, both of whom are, thankfully, not me. (One is Jon. The other is Christina.)<\/p>\n

Four.<\/strong>\u00a0Pumpkin pie. What a great way to get your vegetables.<\/p>\n

Five.<\/strong> Stuffing! The stuffing alone makes\u00a0all the Thanksgiving preparations worth it.<\/p>\n

Six.<\/strong> Self-cleaning ovens. This could be 1965, for heaven’s sake, and I could be getting out the oven cleaner\u00a0the day before Turkey Day and again the day after.<\/p>\n

Seven.<\/strong> Thanks to the folks at Patheos Press, especially my astute editor, Kathleen Mulhern, “Wrestling with God: Stories of Doubt and Faith” is published at last. Now I \u00a0can move on to my next project. But what the heck is that?<\/p>\n

Eight.<\/strong> You. Yes,\u00a0all you folks out there in cyberspace who are kind enough to stop by now and then and listen to me natter on.<\/p>\n

Nine.<\/strong> Whoever\/whatever created me and has thereby made it possible for me to feel all the nice, mushy gratitude I’m feeling right now.<\/p>\n

Ten.<\/strong> Seconds on pumpkin pie. Seconds on stuffing.<\/p>\n

Eleven.<\/strong> Thirds on both.<\/p>\n
