They emerge from mud, manure, leaf rot, earthworms, sow bugs.<\/p>\n

They take in water and\u00a0sun.<\/p>\n

And here they are — with their intricate lines, dewy textures and colors\u00a0beyond naming.<\/p>\n

How do they do it?<\/p>\n
