Our New Digs — A Room-by-Room Video. Sheltering at Home. Week 16

July 1, 2020, Sheltering at Home Week 16

If you missed the photos I posted last week of our completed remodel — or if you’d like to have a guided tour — check out this room-by-room video. Don’t miss the brand-new deck. The room-by-room video gives it only a glimpse.

Coming soon — the furniture gets delivered from storage and Jon and I try to figure out how to put our house back together.

For a look inside our temporary digs in the den, go to “Our Remodel Has Kept Us Company. We’ll Miss the Electricians, the Carpenters, the Pile Drivers.”  See also, “Dining in a Construction Zone.”

  1. Thank you for sharing, Barbara. The space is bright, yet calming.
Hope the move goes well and you are dining at your long table in no time.

  2. What a professional tour! I felt like I was visiting (and I wish I were). Everything looks amazing—front door, paint colors, big windows, deck railing, pendant lights, skylight. I knew it would look good without that wall. I’m so impressed and happy for you!

    1. We really have you to thank for nudging us out of indecision about taking out that kitchen wall. You were pretty clear that it was a good idea. But we still weren’t sure about doing it even as they were hauling away the studs. It’s way prettier than we expected. One day you’ll get to see it.

  3. it looks great, so open and airy with that spectacular view opened up. love the wall colors too.
