Books everywhere. Authors all over the place. And best of all, writers\u00a0I know from writing groups or my newspapering days. Talking about ideas, books and writing — my idea of a good time.<\/p>\n

If you are up and at ’em this fine Sunday morning in June, it’s not to late to walk, drive, BART or bike on over to downtown Berkeley for the annual Bay Area Book Festival. Treat yourself to 300 authors, 230 exhibitors and 150 programs. The indoor-outdoor event\u00a0runs from\u00a010 a.m. to 6 p.m. and it’s free.<\/p>\n

Sunday’s highlights — “Why Write a Memoir” with Faith Adiele, Jessica Fechtor, Meredith Maran, Jasmin Singer, and Linda Joy Myers. “You Are Not Your Fault” with Wes “Scoop” Nisker, now a Buddhist, once a talky alternative radio Bay Area newscaster. And “How Much Should a Book Cost?” with Sandra Dijkstra, Elaine Petrocelli, Charlie Winton and Ethan Nosowsky. I hope to see you there!<\/p>\n
