Tell your friends — if they don’t already have their very own copy of “Wrestling with God,” there will be a one-week book giveaway starting June 24 on Goodreads.<\/p>\n

I’m giving away five copies of my book in honor of the awards that WWG has received — a first prize gold IPPY<\/a> in the Religion Eastern-Western category from the Independent Publishers Book Awards. Also\u00a0a finalist place in three other contests: Foreword Review’s INDIEFAB contest, the American Book Awards, and the Eric Hoffer<\/a> Book Awards. The INDIEFAB prize winners will be announced this Saturday at the American Library Association meeting in Orlando.<\/p>\n

What’s a Book Giveaway?<\/h5>\n

The Goodreads book giveaways are\u00a0a lot of fun, and totally free. All you have to do is\u00a0click here for\u00a0\u00a0the “Wrestling with God”<\/a> giveaway link\u00a0if you are a Goodreads member. Fill out the form and that will enter you in the raffle for a copy of “Wrestling with God,” signed and delivered to you\u00a0free<\/p>\n

If you don’t know about Goodreads<\/a>,\u00a0I recommend exploring\u00a0the site. Lots of interesting authors and books — and you’ll probably run into some of your reading friends there offering their book recommendations and comments.<\/p>\n

By the way, if you haven’t gotten around to reading your copy of “Wrestling with God,” summertime is a great time to dig in. You can take the book to the beach or on an airplane and read it in bits and pieces — starting at the beginning or the middle with whatever story catches your eye — the Buddhist monk who makes the 650-mile bowing pilgrimage up the California coast, the African-American pastor whose sandwiches exhort\u00a0him to “Go preach!” the World War II POW\u00a0who survives a forced march across Germany. Lots of good stuff to read regardless of whether\u00a0you feel up to wrestling with God personally.<\/p>\n
