The Conversation Post Roe v. Wade<\/span><\/strong><\/h5>\n

Join me in San Francisco on Tuesday, August 16, when five women, including me, reflect on their experiences with abortion in prose and poetry before, during and post Roe v. Wade. Discussion and a Q&A will following the readings.<\/span><\/p>\n

Here’s the line-up:<\/p>\n

Dr. Shelley Sella, a recently retired Ob-Gyn<\/a> who provided abortion care, will read a piece about an aspect of third-trimester abortion.<\/p>\n

Susan Ito<\/a>, memoirist, poet and a person who was adopted, has a few things to say about \u201cadoption, not abortion.\u201d<\/p>\n

Barbara Falconer Newhall, author of \u201cWrestling with God<\/a>: Stories of Doubt and Faith” (A Seeker\u2019s Pilgrimage through the Religions of the World), will tell a story that takes place before Roe v. Wade.<\/p>\n

Meryl Natchez, poet, writer and author of “Catwalk,”<\/a> will read a piece about how abortion changed the trajectory of her life.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Leah Korican, visual artist and writer, will address her complex family history with abortion.<\/p>\n
