I didn&#8217;t know that &#8212; until I saw actors Michael Douglas and Alan Arkin talking about their kegels back in Week 46 of the pandemic shutdown. I saw the two actors in an episode of &#8220;The Kominsky Method,&#8221; a Netflix original series about a couple of old guys getting older.<\/p>\n<p>Inspired, I proceeded to write a post about Michael Douglas, Alan Arkin, kegels and covid. You can find it at:<\/p>\n<h2><a href=\"http:\/\/server.stagingweb3.net\/barbarafalconernewhall\/2021\/01\/30\/my-kegels\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8220;Oops. I Forgot to Do My Kegels. I Blame the Coronavirus.&#8221;<\/a><\/h2>\n<p>Fun fact: I interviewed Alan Arkin back in my 1960s movie reviewer days at Good Housekeeping magazine, probably when he was promoting his role in the fabulous thriller &#8220;Wait Until Dark,&#8221;\u00a0 starring Audrey Hepburn.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m pretty sure the subject of kegels did not come up during our interview. I&#8217;m also pretty sure that, at that point in our lives, neither Alan Arkin nor I had a clue what a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/books\/NBK555898\/#:~:text=In%201948%2C%20Kegel%20exercises%20were,for%20pelvic%20floor%20muscle%20strengthening.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">kegel<\/a> was.<\/p>\n<p><em>Note to readers: I&#8217;m just back from a trip to the Great Midwest and a visit with Grandchildren Nos. 1 and 2 and their parents. So, no time to write a post this week! Instead I&#8217;m linking to that 2021 kegel post. It&#8217;s one of the 703, count &#8217;em 703, posts I&#8217;ve written over the years, and it&#8217;s nice to have a chance to revive one of my old favorites.
