Those wild and wooly pandemic hairdos — are they a trend best forgotten? Are we ready to ditch the fluffy-headed look we so gamely embraced in 2020?<\/p>\n

For a while there, back in the depths of the pandemic shut-down when few of us could get to the hairdresser, I thought that the fluffy, messy look was going to be the next big, fashion-forward thing.<\/p>\n

Wild, Wooly, Feral<\/strong><\/h5>\n

I predicted that, post-pandemic, the trendsetters of the world would say good-bye to their Nancy Reagan perfectionist coiffures and let their hair down for good. Once they had experienced the sartorial freedom of covid isolation, I reasoned, they’d never let it go. That loose, untended, feral look was here to stay.<\/p>\n

That’s what I thought.<\/p>\n

But now, here we are post-covid at last (post-covid<\/em> meaning, I am now willing to sit indoors at a (well ventilated) restaurant). And, like it or not, things are sliding back to pre-covid normal.<\/p>\n

I looked in the mirror the other day and noticed that I was overdue for a haircut. Way overdue. My undisciplined hair, post-covid, looked to be, not so much an expression of freedom and creativity, as a wild and wooly free-for-all.\u00a0Sometimes a mess is just a mess.<\/p>\n

I called my hairdresser.<\/p>\n
