But life still has its pleasures. One of them is showing off the tile and cabinetry I&#8217;ve picked out for the bathroom remodel . . . The bathroom will look great. The time with the kids will be fun. I&#8217;ll sleep better with a rearranged septum. And, with a little luck, I won&#8217;t get covid this winter. <em>Photo by Barbara Newhall<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>I&#8217;m playing hooky from my blog today.<\/p>\n<p>Which means this is not a blog post. This is me complaining &#8212; again &#8212; about my ever-present, ever-unforgiving to-do list.<\/p>\n<p>Which this month includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Signing a contract for a bathroom remodel.<\/li>\n<li>A visit from the kids and grandkids.<\/li>\n<li>Surgery on a deviated septum.<\/li>\n<li>Work on the re-release of my 2015 book, <a href=\"http:\/\/server.stagingweb3.net\/barbarafalconernewhall\/2009\/03\/23\/a-case-of-the-human-condition-a-mother-who-prevailed-at-auschwitz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8220;Wrestling with God.&#8221;<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Getting the gutters cleaned before the winter rains arrive.<\/li>\n<li>Getting the latest covid shot.<\/li>\n<li>Feeling achy and sleepy from the covid shot.<\/li>\n<li>Taking a nap.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Yes, I&#8217;m playing hooky from my blog today. But luckily, I&#8217;ve written lots of stuff for blog posts past.
