Commercial Loan Officer

A growing, community-focused lending organization is adding a Business Development / Commercial Loan Officer to support continued growth in the Fargo metro area. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, working directly with small businesses, and playing a key role in helping projects move from idea to funding. You’ll work closely with a small, collaborative team while also having the autonomy to manage your own pipeline and partnerships.

The ideal candidate will have:
• 6–10+ years of experience in commercial lending, business banking, or business development
• A strong track record of building and maintaining relationships with lenders, business owners, and professional partners
• Experience working with commercial loan structures, credit, and underwriting processes
• Ability to gather, organize, and support loan documentation and package preparation
• Comfort presenting to groups and acting as a resource for partners and clients
• A self-driven, independent work style balanced with strong collaboration skills
• High attention to detail and ability to navigate compliance and regulatory requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred
• Experience with SBA or other government-backed lending programs is a plus

Pay is $80 – $100k DOE
