The Writing Room: My Flesh Is Weary — Too Much Book-Writing, Not Enough Yoga

Can you guess who wrote these lines?  “Of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh.” Hint: The writer’s been dead for at least two millenniums.

Apparently, you and I are not the first writers to complain of the butt-wearying effects of too much time spent arranging and rearranging words.

Writers have been complaining of the writing blahs since the papyrus days.  This passage is from the Bible — Ecclesiastes 12:12. Which means that somebody was experiencing the writing blahs something like  2,300 years ago.

As for me, today is today, and I’m off to yoga. Now!
